it wasn’t until recently that i decided i was going trick-or-treating and Halloween in in 7 days! i was looking at some costumes while i was at Wal-mart. they had fairy wings and petticoat skirts in a variety of colors. if i got the petticoat skirt and wings, how could i turn that into a fairy costume?

I am starting to plan my Halloween costume and I think that I want to be a green absinth fairy. Does anyone have a good costume idea for me and know of any good vintage clothing stores in NYC to buy costume pieces from? I was thinking of using a green top hat, bustier, wings and flowy skirt. I would love to hear some other suggestions.
I’m a junior in hs and im going to be a fairy princess for halloween. i planned on wearing a black cami and a bright colored tutu/frilly skirt with wings, a tiara and wand. i’m not sure though if that’s too plain and if i need more. also what shoes should i wear for this? and should i wear leggings? if so, what color? thanks!

I want the dress with the flowers in the center and the skirt. It can be simpler on top ( meaning the way the ribbons are wrapped etc.) Let me know asap. I have had to turn to makng my daughters costume because of money so any help would be great. Make sure the directions are detailed

I’ve gotten some great ideas for costumes, but where do i find them? THere are lots of cute fairies or fairytale characters that i would enjoy being, but my mom wont approve of super short things, yet she will accept some more mature things. Like where would i get the red and white polka dot shirt and black skirt? Or a cute shorter fairy costume or little miss muffet costume for a reasonable amount and great looks?

I've always loved fairies, magical stories, and enchantment ever since I was a little girl, and now that I have my own little girl, well, maybe not so little any more :-)
I still enjoy seeing little girls dressed up and having fun in their own special fairy costume, which is why I created this site, and, plus, it will hopefully also keep me young. :-)
As any little girl knows, fairy costumes are magical for dressing up in and they never go out of fashion and are great to pass on to younger siblings.
