Kids Fairy Costumes

First off I am 18 taking my little sister trick-or-treating this year. I am going to dress up and trick-or-treat too but I am having a hard time with a costume. I know it’s early but since I don’t like store-bought costumes I have to plan early. (I usually thrift store shop for clothing I can cut or paint or whatever I need to do with them. And maybe buy props or accessories like ears and tail from stores like Wal-Mart or Target)

Anyways the two ideas I have come up with are:
Tiffany: The Bride of Chucky- I like this idea but since I am going with little kids, may not be the best idea to be too scary.

Monkey Girl: I’m not quite sure how this would work except for monkey ears and tail. Any ideas on how to make this a good costume?

Any other ideas would be appreciated too. I am not totally set on these ideas but I don’t really want to repeat any costumes I’ve had in the last couple years.

An 80′s chick
Wednesday Addams
A Fairy
That’s as far back as I can remember so I’d rather not repeat them.

hahaha yup, it’s only may and i’m already preparing for halloween(my favorite time of year!)
i kind of have a punk rocker/colorful/cute style, so i really wanna do something pretty and colorful and glittery this year! any ideas? i’m thinking of being a pumpkin O__O like those cloth kinda pumpkin costumes you see on little kids a lot, just bigger? or maybe a teenage mutant ninja turtle or glittery fairy person???

Okay, so I’m in a play, like kind of a little kids play, even though I’m 14, but hey I like little kids plays and the kids are cool
So, anyway, theres this director lady, and oooooohmyyylorrdy isn’t she interesting…
So we’re doing Pinocchio and I’m the blue fairy, and first of all she decided to make me wear a blonde wig. I have dark brown hair, with obviously matching eyebrows so it looked weiiiird and I asked why I had to, and she said "Because ALL fairies are blonde!" Since then I can’t stop realizing all the actresses in the world with blonde hair.. am I like a failure now? So then I put together and half-lameo costume (dude its a kid play, but it was still nice) and today, the DAY BEFORE the show, she looks at me and says "No, what your wearing won’t work. You look like a hippie-freak-fairy". And those were my actual clothes. Thanks. So then she shoves all this stuff at me like how I need this that and the other thing, but its the DAY BEFORE. I actually got her to let me not wear the wig because (literally) 4 parents and half the class told me it looked stupid on me (I totally agree) and I got the class to cheer for my not-wig-iness. So then I guess she decided she had been to nice to let me do something normal and NOT look like a freak, and she told me that "In real show biz" the director would "flip out" if I tried to disobey any of their orders. She said that NORMAL directors would NEVER let me do things like that. She said it with an undertone of "you suck and I’m better than you because I’m old". Whats also funny is that she acted like I’d NEVER done a play, but oh, funny, I’ve done 11! And at least 3 of them were actual like teen productions with music and dancing and singing and crap!! But none of the other directors I ever did a play with had a problem with me!!! I KNOW how shows are run and this lady is CRAAAAAZY!!! Not to mention her down talking me and her I-should-be-blonde thing, and when I missed a rehearsal because she changed the time on me, didn’t email me, and claimed that she did, I showed up afterward the first thing she said was "I made a GREAT blue fairy!" shes telling me to be niiice and loving and I should be more motherly and can I at least ACT like I’m nice?!! (She said that). She even told me I was throwing f***ing fairy dust wrong.
HOW CAN I GET THROUGH THESE NEXT 2 SHOWS WITHOUT MURDERING HER BRAIN!!!! Please give me advice on how to deal with her! I almost cried today I am SO F***ing angry you have NOO idea.

I really want to dress up for Halloween this year, last year I didn’t becasue I couldn’t find anything that I wanted to be. I don’t want to look like a slut because that’s just not me and I live in a neighborhood with a lot of little kids.
Here’s what I’ve been think about being:
Alice in Wonderland, but all the costumes are slutty
Little Red Riding Hood, same thing with Alice
Luna Lovegood(Harry Potter)
Fairy
Pirate
I’m can’t spend over on a costume and I don’t have any family members that can sew.

What would you do if you saw little john in a fairy costume saying YYEEEAAAHHH!! while a donkey was eating a cheeseburger at the park in a garbage can but the garbage can was in a little kids pants because he got bullied and it was just there.Then a giant man eating hamster starting fighting the donkey for his cheeseburger.

It was hardcover (green boards), didnt have a dust jacket at the time I owned it (was already second-hand), had over 200 pages, quarto size maybe, with many coloured illustrations and some purple-toned illustrations.

The stories included ones from Grimm, Andersen, Perrault and others: I remember these for sure: Rapunzel, Thumbelina, The Seven Little Kids, The Goose-Girl, Littel Ida’s Flowers, Jorinda and Joringel, Donkey-Skin, Beauty and the Beast, The Sheperdhess and the Chimney Sweep, Ricky-of-the-Tuft, Rumpelstiltskin, The Flying Trunk, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Aladdin, The Little Nightingale, The Brave Little Tailor, Cinderella, The Magic Tinder Box, The Frog Prince, Snow White and Rose Red, Goldilocks.

I am certain all of these were included as well as several others – it was a very extensive collection, beautifully illustrated (with costumes ranging from centuries ago). If anyone has any idea what it could be, I would really appreciate your response. Thank you!

You see all of these little kids with simply, not scary costumes. Like Telly Tubies, Cowboys, Superman- , fairy costumes. Etc …. Shouldn’t there be more scary costumes like Frankenstein? The whole "point" of Halloween Is to scary the monsters/ghosts away. maybe that stuff is scary to the "mosters" idk .
