Adult halloween party ideas for Halloween 2009-10

Posted by on Monday, 25 July, 2011

Adult halloween party ideas aren’t actually all that hard to come by even if you’re not the least bit creative. The first thing to remember is that adult halloween party ideas are supposed to be for adults – a good adult halloween party will have folks who’ve left the kids with sitters for the evening (and yes, they’ll be paying babysitters a premium, but that’s part of the price of having kids, isn’t it?)
Just think about it: You and your wife, or your husband, or girlfriend or boyfriend, have been invited to an “adult halloween party” and have decided to come as something wholly inappropriate for youngsters. It could be something like sexy nurse or sexy disney princess, or it could be something like a bloody corpse, or something entirely different that I’m not creative enough to think of right off the top of my head here, but regardless, something inappropriate for young viewers. Something not PG-13, but something rated R.
Now get ready for the party with amazing stylish costumes and really don’t think that after knocking the door you are going to get greet by some six year old person in a clown suit. Of course, kids are not a part of adult Halloween party ideas and hence some arrangements for them should be strictly made.
One can’t deny the fact the best Halloween ideas come with huge booze. Adult Halloween party ideas are always accompanied by a refrigerator full of beer or champagne, a liquor cabinet full of scotch, or a bowl full or rum punch. This is the reason that kids shouldn’t be a part of this very exciting party of adults. Being a parent it is really not easy to face your kid after having heavy drinks and hence I guess this is not the time to take risk by accompanying your kids.
Now again one of the things to take at adult Halloween parties is absolutely about the driving. It is really worst to drive after getting drunk and hence there should be some proper arrangement by the party organizers’ to keep the keys of guests well arranged in order to avoid problems.
So remember to keep your adult halloween party “adult.” Be explicit on the invitations that it is intended for adults only, and for your friends to avoid bringing their children. Doing otherwise could subject both you and them to an all-together uncomfortable experience.

How to do a fairy costume?

Posted by on Thursday, 21 October, 2010

Halloweens coming up and I was thinking of being some kind of modern fairy. (Not the little kid tiara/tinkerbell thing) Any ideas on how to create this? I dont want to just go to some halloween store and buy the already made costume, I want to use actual clothes. If you have any other teen halloween costumes I’ll love that too!

Halloween costume for an 11 year old girl?

Posted by on Thursday, 27 May, 2010

I am making Halloween costumes for my kids I already have plans for all my others, but my 11 year old is being difficult. Doesn’t like any of my ideas and can’t think of any for herself. Can you think of anything for her?

Money isn’t too big an issue. I can stitch some but not really sew (don’t even have a machine)?
We enter contests every year so we don’t use store bought ones.

The past few of years she has been a tooth fairy, Miss America, and Wendy Witch. She wants something to make her pretty but not a princess because it’s too "childish" LOL.
She has also been a teacher and doctor before.
Her favorite singer is *gasp* Brittany Spears
and she doesn’t watch TV except Top Model

          Thanks for that suggestion though
